The Tiger has captured the imagination of human beings from the beginning of recorded history. It has been feared, worshipped, admired, hunted, studied, photographed, written about, immortalized in art and poetry, and has enthralled king and commoner alike. (Valmik Thapar)
This particular trip is designed for those people who are interested in finding tigers and leopards in one of the toughest areas of Assam. Along with Rhinos, Elephants, Gaurs the Tiger population of the park is also increasing. From the recent survey Manas national Park now has about 60 tigers. Similar to Tigers, Leopard and Black Panther population of the park is also increasing. Once it used to be a challenge to find tigers or leopards in this area but our local guides and drivers have tracked down their behaviour, their routes and the areas they visit frequently and for which the sightings are increasing day by day. In this trip we mainly focus on the Panthera species because of that you will have ample time to track them down. Though we will be mainly focusing on tigers or leopards in this trip, still you will be able to see some Rhinos, Elephants Indian Gaurs and other animals. In one morning we will take you to a place where you will be able to see one of the rarest langur in the world the Golden Langur or the Gee’s Langur. Keeping in mind that this park does not guarantee you of a tiger or a leopard sighting like the parks in Central India still you can visit this park and give a chance to your instinct to find some rare animals in one of the toughest places on Earth.
